Overview

This class is an intensive two-day workshop on practical and economically justifiable approaches for applying Lean methods in Product development. Through experimental exercises, lectures and facilitated Q&A you will get insightful approaches to enable excellence and get clarity on typical product development pitfalls.

Lean methods have been used for over 50 years in production processes, producing huge economic benefits. They are based on many principles that are transferable to product development. These methods are the only practical ways to simultaneously achieve large improvements in the speed, quality, and the cost of product development.

Using lean methods in product development requires insights. Certain methods that work in Lean Manufacturing are toxic in a product development environment. If we try to eliminate all variability we will, as an unfortunate side effect, eliminate all innovation.
